Concept: A physical computing sculpture which users interact with to create a composite and randomized "World National Anthem."

This is Anthem, a kinetic sound sculpture that involves a pendulum (globe) and projected audio/visual component coming from a p5 Javascript sketch.  As the globe passes its point of equilibrium it blocks a flashlight pointed at a photocell light sensor.  That signal is sent serially to my p5 sketch via the Arduino Uno, which in turn "changes the channel" randomly on an array of the 20 National Anthems (the countries from which all 1st year students at ITP hail from).  Meanwhile the playhead is always keeping track of the globe's swing, and so generates a linear and randomized composite world anthem with each time the piece is engaged.
